The purpose of this exercise is to develop your capacity at 'subcreation' and 'world-building', elements Tolkien defined as qualities of 'enchantment'.
World-building, or transcending the 2-d surface of a canvas or panel is greatly aided by comprehending a number of traditional axioms used in painting since the Renaissance. Please refer to the meeting for a more detailed explanation.
