Symbolism Morning Practice (8.0)
Painting should remain a sign—it is by its very nature: symbol. It should be, in its true achievement, a relation of significances—an apocalypse (revealing) in colors and forms. Mathematical harmonies and musical laws are akin to it. The metaphysical is within its reach. The styles are part of the form and thus are an intrinsic element of the subject, since to disclose it in a visual, graphical or chromatic form is the purpose of painting. -Avinoff

Execution of the Practice: The practice involves:
- Sit in a calm environment, preferably after dreaming or meditation/trance states.
- Randomly selecting three words from the word matrix provided at the bottom, or creating your own (some people write fifty significant words and cut them individually and put them in a jar and randomly pick). Other people prefer visionary card decks or sacred texts or myths.
- Choosing three colors intuitively and using them to create one or two drawings within five minutes. This process is about expressing ideas without attachment to the outcome.
